Agricultural Applications

Our Soil Conditioner helps improve soil structure by increasing soil particle aggregation.

Soils become softer, more porous and flocculated which increase crop yield while reducing water and pesticide usage. It increases water penetration by getting more water into the soil. The surfactant aids irrigation by increasing the rate at which water soaks into soil, and it promotes more efficient water usage. Also, it aids irrigation by reducing run-off, so it saves water.

Our concentrate has been used for years by growers as a spreader who recognize its unique qualities and versatility. It works to maximize weed control by providing more uniform spray deposit on plants. It improves coverage of herbicides, insecticides, and fungicide sprays. As an activator, its thorough wetting action helps improve performance of post-emergent herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides. It has no phytotoxicity and is safe for use in any environment as it will not harm plants, trees, pets, children or wildlife. It is suitable for all types of plants, grasses and soil structures and is compatible with fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides, herbicides and nematicides.

Golf Course Turf Management

Tired of dry spots and brown grass? Tired of watching your water conservation? Why work harder, when you can work smarter? Surfactants offer a low cost, high-return benefit for golf courses. Research indicates a well-planned, well-executed surfactant program can reap considerable rewards, including improved delivery of water to the root zone, reduced run-off and better stress resistance.

Surfactants can have an impact on overall water usage. Originally developed to hold water for better plant performance, golf course superintendents are using them now to stretch their limited water resources. With the average water expenditures topping $50,000 per course – and significantly higher in the Southwest and other year-round golf regions – a properly managed surfactant program can save thousands of dollars per year.

Water restrictions have become a fact of life throughout the country. In some cases, the restrictions are short-term. In others, they are permanent. USGA agronomists concur that surfactants and wetting agents can be excellent tools for golf course superintendents, either in stand-alone situations or in combination with other products.

Vineyards

Surfactants give better coverage on the plant surface by breaking down surface tension and allowing the spray droplet to cover the target more completely. Many post-emergence herbicides require the addition of a surfactant. For use in bearing and nonbearing vineyards, it provides control of hairy fleabane, horseweed, and many other broadleaf weeds. May be combined with a postemergence herbicide if weeds are present. The higher rates give the longest soil residual. Surfactant can be used as a spreader in spray additives to prevent Botrytis Cinerea.

Home Gardens & Lawns

Enhance biological activity: Healthy soils should be alive with biological activity, promoting a vibrant habitat for soil organisms to decompose organic compounds such as plant residue, manure and pesticides. The soil organisms fix nitrogen, stabilize nutrients, enhance soil aggregation and porosity and feed on crop pests.  In healthy soils, growers see soil test levels of organic matter climb and faster residue breakdown.  Healthy soils also attract earthworms that break down residue and burrow into the profile to create air and moisture channels that plant roots can utilize.   If soil is compacted and tight, growers may see fewer earthworms. Use soil conditioners and plant nutrient additives to help create the environment where soil biology thrives.

Firefighting Additives

Wet water will be more effective than plain water for the extinction of fire in fibrous materials that are not easily wetted by plain water and are packed so densely that plain water cannot easily penetrate. It has been demonstrated under practical fire conditions that water will not extinguish fires occurring in such materials as coal piles, stored grain, and baled textile fibers. In fact, one of the most serious problems in the control of forest fires is not the extinguishment of the spectacular surface fire, but the complete extinguishment of the ground fire. In both deciduous and coniferous areas where there are sizeable amounts of ground litter, water has not proved to be effective in completely extinguishing a fire line. Therefore, standard operating procedures for forest fires, as outlined by the U.S. Forest Service and other organizations, have been to remove the combustible materials and expose mineral soil by trenching. This procedure is both tedious and expensive.

Fundamentally, wetting and surface-active agents are employed to alter the liquid properties of water and enable it to flow more rapidly and efficiently and penetrate into combustible materials.  Water so treated can also flow more readily around surfaces to protect exposures and penetrate more rapidly combustibles to prevent or delay their ignition. A one per cent aqueous solution of a good wetting agent will penetrate loose cotton batting 300 times as fast as un-treated water.

Home Water Purification Systems

What can water do for your body? The better question might be what can’t it do? From helping you move your body and mind more freely, to helping your skin look younger and helping you maintain a healthy weight and a good metabolism, water… clean, fresh-tasting, quality water… is clearly a key ingredient to good health.

Whether your home currently is supplied with municipally-treated water or you get drinkable water from a well or bore on your property, the water originates in one of two places. It is either ground water from an aquifer, a natural underground water supply, or it is surface water from a lake, river, or reservoir. Unfortunately, you can’t depend on either source to be free of contaminants. Even if you know your water comes from an apparently protected source, like a pristine reservoir, nearby geological features or human activities in the area can lead to contamination.

Our Water Purification System reduces more than 140 possible health-effect contaminants that may be present in drinking water and it contains an all-in-one cartridge with an ultraviolet (UV) lamp inside the carbon-block filter. The UV bulb exposes water to powerful UV doses up 80 millijoules (units of measure) per square centimeter to treat water without chemicals. Its carbon-block technology features an activated, pressed carbon-block filter. This patented, multistage filter effectively removes impurities before they get into your drinking water, but allows beneficial minerals to pass through. Certified to meet NSF/ANSI International Standards 42, 53, and 55B.
